The Regulation, Licensing, and Certification Services Group provides the services and lower level capabilities necessary to provide standardized operating policies and requirements for National Airspace System (NAS) users within the aerospace community (aircraft, aircraft operations, airports, commercial space launch operations, and launch/reentry site operations). This services group includes the services and capabilities needed to provide minimum standards and establish compliance methods.

Safety Services
|
|
The Safety Services Group includes the services and lower level capabilities necessary to provide and foster a safe and efficient operating environment that maintains the aviation and aerospace communities and the public's high confidence when flying in the National Airspace System (NAS). Safety-related concerns associated with air traffic management, airspace management, airport/ launch/reentry site operations, facilities, systems, standards, and procedures are identified early in the life cycle and mitigated to ensure safety risks are either eliminated or controlled to an acceptable level.

Service Group: 
Security Services
|
|
Security services protect users against terrorist and other criminal acts and protect the NAS facilities, equipment, and employees. These services include providing physical security for air traffic and airport facilities, security for passengers, and information security of communications and other NAS functional areas. Security services support the development of sound security practices, use of the revised FAA acquisition process, and the fielding operational systems without introducing new vulnerabilities.
